1. Who is responsible
Nourish Nairobi is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and the connected order service. Privacy requests can be sent to orders@nourishnairobi.co.ke.
2. Information we collect
- Name, email address and contact number.
- Selected service, order history, preferences, goals and dietary details entered in the order form.
- Delivery area, address notes and the exact map pin you choose.
- Payment status and transaction reference information; we do not ask for or store your M-PESA PIN.
- A student-ID image only when a verified first meal-plan voucher is requested.
- Messages, feedback and operational records needed to manage the order.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to review and fulfil orders, personalise menus, communicate about payment and delivery, prevent offer misuse, keep required business records, handle complaints and improve the service. Where applicable, processing is based on steps needed to provide the requested service, consent, legal obligations and legitimate operational interests.
4. Student verification
A student-ID image is collected only for the limited meal-plan voucher. It is stored separately from the public website and is available only through the private owner dashboard. It is retained only as long as needed for verification, offer-abuse prevention and any related dispute, then deleted or anonymised when no longer necessary.
5. Who may receive information
We may share only the necessary details with authorised kitchen staff, delivery riders, website/hosting, business email, payment, accounting and other service providers supporting the order. A rider receives delivery and contact details, not the full customer questionnaire. We do not sell customer information.
6. Retention and security
Order and financial records are retained for the period needed for fulfilment, complaints, accounting and Kenyan legal obligations. Other information is removed, anonymised or restricted when it is no longer needed. We use access controls and private operational systems, but no online service can promise absolute security.
7. Cookies and device storage
The site may use essential browser storage needed for navigation, order functionality and the private owner application. We do not use that wording to authorise unrelated advertising tracking.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to Kenyan data-protection law, you may ask to access, correct, object to certain uses of, restrict or delete personal information, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction reasons. You may also raise a concern with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
9. Updates
We may update this notice when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows the current published version.
